Each year, In zone applications for enrolment in the following year will be sought by a date which will be published on our website and in a community newspaper local to the school. This enables the Board of Trustees to assess the number of places that can be available to students who live out of zone.
In conjunction with the Enrolment Scheme, Remuera Intermediate operates a school zone. All students who live in the zone are entitled to enroll at any time.
Evidence of usual place of residence being In Zone is required.
In Zone Description
Starting at the roundabout of Ayr St/Brighton Rd/Shore Rd and Bassett Rd travel north along the western boundary of Thomas Bloodworth Park then north west to meet the coastline. Follow the coastline east past St Kentigern School continuing north coming inland to meet the railway at Nos 234/265 Orakei Rd (included).
Follow the railway south east then travel directly south along the eastern boundary of Purewa Cemetery (Fancourt Rd and Parson Road included). Meet St Johns Rd at the intersection of Dorchester St and travel west along St Johns Rd and south along the centre of Gerard Way Crossing Grand Dr where it joins Norman Lesser Dr (excluded). Continue directly south through the middle of Remuera Golf Course to meet the Ngahue Dr/Lunn Ave (both excluded) and Abbotts Way (included) roundabout. Travel west along Abbotts Way (include Kenneth Small) and north west along Ladies Mile then west along Peach Parade.
Travel southwest along Greenlane East then south along the Southern Motorway, west along Mitchelson Rd (Up to 35/36 included).
Continue southwest along Wairakei St, cut across Great South Rd (up to 279/572) and continue south west along both sides of Campbell Rd. Travel south east along Te Kawa Rd, north along Kawau Rd and east along Waiohua Rd (23/24 and above included).
Travel around the southern then eastern side of Konini Domain before continuing east along Rangiora Rd. Travel south along Rockfield Rd (15-79 and 20-66 included). Travel West along Oranga Ave then onto Rawhiti Rd and continue through the intersection with Campbell Rd and through Cornwall Park to the southwest corner of St Cuthbert’s College and follow the college boundary north then west meeting the intersection of Market Rd (up to 110/109 included).
Travel northeast along Great South Rd then east along St Marks Rd to meet the railway track. Follow track north then west along Remuera Rd (both sides included) to the intersection with Broadway. Excluding Broadway, travel north, parallel to the railway tracks, rejoining the track where it splits into two lines. Continue following the track heading northeast then cut across Sarawia St (excluded) to follow the boundary of Newmarket Park in an easterly direct to return to the starting point.
