A team of over 50 Remuera Intermediate athletes competed at Central Zones Athletics, on Wednesday 18th November. This was a thrilling day for all competitors, with many of our athletes having great success on both track and field.
The level of sportsmanship displayed was impressive, with everyone’s motivation staying high considering the weather. Wind, rain or blazing sunshine couldn’t stop us from pushing toward the wins.

Athletics was one of the few sporting events that was able to go ahead this year.
We had great weather and everyone got involved, whether it was at Lloyd Elsmore park at the competitive event or at school getting into all the games and activities.
It was an awesome day for everyone and the students at both events showed great sportsmanship, participation and most importantly effort.

On a cloudless sunny Wednesday 31 October 2018, 320 athletes competed in the school Competitive Athletics Day at Mt Smart Stadium. Events were Track - 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m 1500m and Relays. Field - High jump, Long jump, Discus and Shot Put. From the results, a team was selected to compete at the Central Zones Athletics Championships on Thursday 22 November at Mount Smart Stadium.
