Central Zone Orienteering

The Central Zone Orienteering event took place at Western Springs Park on Tuesday 23rd March. The weather dawned fine in the morning and the 48 Remuera Intermediate students sent to compete at the event set off in excellent early Autumn conditions.

As well as managing to avoid the multitude of wildlife in the park, the competitors achieved some great results.

3rd placings were achieved by all three of our Year 7 Boys A team, Year 8 Boys A team and Year 8 Girls A team. We also had some excellent individual results with Dylan Vaughan and Max Allan both placing 1st on the courses for the day.

As a result of their Central Zone efforts, three teams qualified to compete in the Interzone Competition on Tuesday 18th May.
