The Central Zone Orienteering event took place at Western Springs Park on Tuesday 23rd March. The weather dawned fine in the morning and the 48 Remuera Intermediate students sent to compete at the event set off in excellent early Autumn conditions.
As well as managing to avoid the multitude of wildlife in the park, the competitors achieved some great results.

Remuera Intermediate continue their history of success at orienteering! A team of 48 students attended the Central Zone competition at Waiatarua Reserve last term. The students used a combination of intellect and fitness to achieve some excellent results on the day.
Year 7 Boys B Team - 3rd
Year 8 Girls B Team - 2nd
Year 8 Boys A Team - 3rd
Year 8 Boys B Team - 1st
We also had some excellent individual results, with Makayla Gillen, Hannah Thorpe, Jordan Gibson, Sam Worth and Richie Wood all finishing in 1st place on their allocated courses.
